If you've always wanted to hone your skills as a rock, pop, country, jazz, gospel, or R&B singer, the Conway Institute of Music has the voice teacher for you. Our voice faculty focuses primarily on popular music styles. Each week, students are guided through physical exercises to improve their vocal range, ear training, breath control, enunciation, and more. Together with their teacher, each student sets personal goals—whether it's to sound like their favorite recording artist or to develop a unique, individual voice. We also work with TV and radio personalities who want to strengthen and enhance their speaking voices.

Our voice instructors are highly qualified, all have teaching experience, and, most importantly, they have a passion for teaching. Being a musician doesn't automatically make you a teacher—that’s why we search for those who are truly skilled at mentoring our students. We search all over Central Arkansas for top teachers who embody the high values of the Conway Institute of Music. Many of our instructors have toured professionally across the USA and Europe and bring years of professional performance and teaching experience. In addition to their credentials, our instructors have warm personalities, are extremely friendly, and strive to connect personally with each student and their family. How long does it take to learn how to sing?
There is no set timeline for learning to sing. With regular practice, students can reach a basic level of singing within a few months. Most of our students choose to continue lessons long-term because they enjoy the process of constant improvement and the joy that comes with it.
I don't have any musical background or ability. Can I still help my child practice?
Yes! Even without a musical background, you can support your child’s progress. Your teacher will give you simple advice on how to help at home—such as ensuring your child practices certain exercises a set number of times each day. Parents are also encouraged to occasionally sit in on lessons to better understand how songs should sound and how techniques should be practiced.
